New England Weather

Boston, Massachusetts is a four-season city with corresponding New England weather, so when moving to the area, it makes sense to stock your wardrobe with all the climate-related necessities!

Here's a very handy Bostonian insider tip: acquire a well-made folding umbrella and keep it with you at all times. You'll be glad you did- after all, this is New England; if you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes...it will change!

For those days or nights when the weather is foul, there's always indoor shopping. The metro Boston area has extensive and very wonderful shopping, including the Newberry Street area of Back Bay, Harvard Square in Cambridge, Faneuil Hall near the Haymarket; Downtown Crossing and the Haymarket itself. The North Shore and the South Shore also boast the requisite large shopping malls.
